Here I'll list the content I highly suggest and I really like.
Absolutely important
- PewDiePie: self-explanatory;
- Official Bob Dylan albums list: 80% of my philosophy is here;
- Joanna Newsom's lyrics: much of the other 20% is here;
- Odysee: it's a video platform that's way better than Youtube and very intelligently designed: it's self sufficient, you don't have ads and it's based on crypto. If you use this link to create an account, I also get some of their Monopoly money (which, by the way, is valorizing a lot since the creator of Wikipedia recognized it as an evolution of Youtube);
In Odysee's case, I really think it can be useful for everybody although I get some money if you give me the benefit of the doubt. It's a win-win situation in any way. Worst case scenario, you'd never use it again.
Stuff from friends
- kthrnnss: Kath is a friend of mine, she's extremely talented, such as the next ones in the list. Her aesthetics are insane, she's amazing;
- Kenji Okagawa: Kenji's a close friend of mine, and he's also an artist. He is both classically and digitally oriented. I've bought two works from him in 2019 and I intend to hire him more often. He's absolutely talented;
- Carolina Verde: Carol is one of the most driven people I know. Also an artist, she's insanely consistent and keeps always refining her technique, while also being a really fun and good person;
In my Portuguese page there is more content, because I listen to some podcasts and other content that's exclusive to Portuguese speakers. I have talented friends.
Others
- Piero Scaruffi's website: Scruffles might be a meme, but he's admirable, diven that a single individual could create such a behemoth of a website such as his, full of content, from musical reviews to the history of psychology and the development of artificial intelligente. The 2000s aesthetic of his website was a huge influence to me;
- Michael Malice: he's the person with the closest political views to mine that I know of;
- Unreported/Unregistered Podcast: the only political show I listen to, though I haven't for a while because I can't hear about Israel or Ukraine anymore;
- Gokanaru: he's a (not much) younger dude than me who travelled to Hong Kong to make a documentary. He's lived more than many people I know. He's got many great videos in general, and my favorite is this;
- EmpLemon: literally everything he does is worth it. He's an ex-youtube pooper who nowadays makes amazingly edited documentaries;
- Glink: he's an amazing youtuber that makes documentaries. You may know him for his video on the Golden Age of the Internet, but he's got many great videos on the same level or even better. Recently, his documentary on LA really impressed me with his journalistic intents;
- Martina Markota/Lady Alchemy: she's a mathematician and stage artist, it's impossible not to admire. She was cancelled in 2016 because of silly political issues, and the biggest tragedy of this story is that she barely talks about politics, she's all about the art, the aesthetics and alchemy. She also has her own website. One of my favorite videos of her is the stage performance Milk is Racist;
- Jonathan Pageau: he's an orthodox Christian who works with carving and talks a lot about symbolism and, of course, religion;
- Samuel Andreyev: he's a Canadian composer that lives in France. He's especially interested in the "avant-garde" composers such as the ones from the Second Viannese School, and makes breakdowns of both classical and popular music (such as Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Velvet Underground, etc.). I think it's the best content related to music that I know of online. He also interviews many people and has his own podcast;
- Mrs. Krummel: I learned to use LaTeX through her videos. She's a mathematician and has different projects, mostly associated with teaching;
- Fiction Beast: one of the best YouTube channels on literature and philosophy I know;
- Luke Smith: this is the unaboomer's cabin. He inspired me to learn to write in html and try to have my own website; he's very smart, too.
I think most of these, if not all, use RSS, which I highly suggest to everyone so that you have as much control over information you read as you can.
